Don't just cope... scope!
Before the advent of social networking webware like LinkedIn, the overwhelming majority of people were "confined" to a specific job. Indeed, due to the lack of convenient tools for career networking, they had no choice but to hang on to their current job and endure whatever each working day brought them.
If they had a bad boss, well, too bad, c'est la vie.
Things are different now. The tables have turned, and power lies in the hands of working professionals.
Indeed, via LinkedIn's search engine, you can stop "coping" and start "scoping out" employment opportunities out there.
Yet it's not enough to discover employment opportunities. One must be able to capitalize on those opportunities, and this will require diplomatic skills that most working professionals simply do not have.
The adage "it's not what you're saying, it's how you say it" is a good thought to keep in mind.
